Blenheim Bookworld’s Peter Scott was elected to the seat on the Booksellers board left vacant by the retirement of Susi Blackmore.

Peter and Charlene Scott are the owners and operators of Blenheim Bookworld. They bought not only the business, but also the building it occupied, in separate deals three years ago. At the time the bookstore only occupied half of the premises. When the lease on this space ended in October last year they expanded and renovated the bookstore.

The Board of Directors

Governance for Booksellers New Zealand is the responsibility of an elected Board of Directors. Elections are held each year, at the Booksellers New Zealand AGM (during the Booksellers Conference), to determine the members of the board for the year ahead. The elected board determines its office holders, and the board of Book Tokens (NZ) Ltd, at its first subsequent meeting.
