Readers' Choice Award

The Readers' Choice Award offers New Zealand's readers the opportunity to actively participate in the New Zealand Zealand Post Book Awards. New Zealanders can vote for the book that most captured their imagination, chosen from the books selected as finalists by the judges.

Readers' Choice Voting for the 2010 Awards will open here when finalists are announced in June.

In 2010, votes for the Readers' Choice Award can be made online or by completing a voting slip, found at your local bookshop or library. These can be posted back to Booksellers New Zealand (at the address on the slip) or put into a voting box at the bookshop or library.

Readers' Choice voting allows thousands of New Zealand book lovers to have their say. Every vote received is entered in a draw to win $1,000 of Booksellers Tokens.

The award-winning title will be announced at the New Zealand Post Book Awards Ceremony and the author and/or illustrator of this coveted award will win $1,000.
