Maria Gill lives on a lifestyle farm in Matakana with her family and a menagerie of animals. Her first book for children, Bird’s-eye View, was shortlisted for the LIANZA awards. It was also nominated by the Storylines Notable List as one of the top ten non-fiction books for 2006.
