Create your own special treat for Piggity Wiggity Jiggity Jig. What might it be? Fairycakes, huhu grub sandwiches or jellybean cupcakes? Design your dish, name it, and present on an A4 sheet.
Years 4-6, Years 7/8, Years 9/10
Create an A4 diary page using text and illustration through the eyes of one of the characters in any of the New Zealand Post Children’s Book Award’s finalist books.
Winners will be visited by a competition judge, and presented with their prize at a school assembly.
A public exhibition of all finalist’s work will be displayed in Upper Riccarton Library from 15 May – 29 May.

On Tuesday 11 May Christine Fernyhough and John Bougen will be talking to school groups in two libraries in the Waikato about writing and photography techniques. They will begin at the Te Kuiti Public Library at 9.00am and travel to Taumarunui Library for an afternoon session beginning at 1.30pm.
