About the play
Mates & Lovers is an adaptation of Chris Brickell’s Montana Award-winning book on the secret history of homosexuality in Aotearoa/New Zealand, ‘Mates & Lovers’ uses a mixture of wit, character comedy and choreography to celebrate this history from pre-colonial times through to the present day.
Described as ‘warm-hearted, cheeky and hot-headed’, the show is a lyrical presentation receiving great reviews.
