Shadowgraphs: Photographic Portraits by Len Lye
Featuring essays by Honours students in Art History at Victoria University of Wellington and an introduction by Professor Geoffrey Batchen, Shadowgraphs: Photographic Portraits by Len Lye examines the camera-less photographs produced by Len Lye in the late 1940s, which the artist dubbed ‘shadowgraphs’.
The book provides new insights into the practice of this extraordinary modernist artist and is a stunning accompaniment to the exhibition of the same name held at the Adam Art Gallery Wellington, 19 November – 18 December 2011.
