HarperCollins Announces:

After a 40 year career in publishing both in New Zealand and the UK, Tony Fisk has announced that he will step down from the role of Managing Director of HarperCollins NZ in April.

Booksellers NZ this week welcomed Hera Bird to our small team - she's our new administrator.

Hera even arrived with her own home-baked welcome cake (delicious); a sure sign of good times ahead.

When she's not helping Booksellers NZ members she's an award-winning poet. Most recently her collection of prose poetry exploring love, science and the imagination won the prestigious Adam Foundation Prize in Creative Writing for 2011.

Vouchers easier to access, super heroes abound: NZ Book Month 2012 is out to build on success.

$ 4.3 million book vouchers will be in letterboxes and at your Caltex Station in March for NZ Book Month 2012. No one will be left out – if all else fails, book buyers can head for the computer to print off their own voucher.
