Hachette Australia & New Zealand and Phaidon announce that from Tuesday 18th April 2017 distribution of Phaidon titles will move to Alliance Distribution Services (ADS) from United Book Distributors (UBD). Sales of Phaidon titles will move to Hachette Australia & New Zealand from Penguin Random House.
Phaidon and Hachette would like to thank Penguin Random House and UBD for the excellent service provided to Phaidon and the relationships built over the years.
ADS will start distribution for Phaidon’s Winter Spring 2017 list starting on the 18th April 2017.
Beatnik have decided to resume distribution with David Bateman Ltd (they are currently with Potton & Burton), as their business model has undergone a structural change. With the combination of overseas distribution projects in 2017, and mobile headquarters, Bateman's Auckland location will make the coordination process simpler.
Changing distributors isn't the only move for Beatnik this year - they have come to a distribution agreement with Australian and UK partners, and with that, the development of future products for those markets. Of course, this beloved indie publisher will stay true to its roots and continue to create beautiful books that perform well on the local market.
