Wellington Food Show seeks bookseller

An opportunity has arisen for a bookshop to exhibit at the Wellington Food Show 2010, at Westpac Stadium, 14-16 May 2010. 

This is a wonderful opportunity for a bookseller to make exclusive book sales and sales are driven by having celebrity chef signing books after every cooking demonstration, which is usually hourly.

Booksellers NZ Annual Conference is to be held at the Langham Hotel, Auckland on Sunday 29 August. This follows the New Zealand Post Book Awards at the Langham on Friday 27 August, Fringe Events on Saturday 28 August and the traditional Business Meeting Day for the trade will be held on Monday 30 August.  Please mark these dates (27-30 August), in your diaries now.

Cheaper electricity for Bookseller NZ Members

Electricity supply at a 12 % discount will be available to BSNZ members throughout the country as the result of a new partnership deal with Meridian Energy .

Booksellers Membership Manager Cherie Arnott told The Read that the arrangement with Meridian Energy was the latest deal in the ongoing development of services to BSNZ Members.
“We are delighted to welcome Meridian Energy as our new business partner,” she said.
