A very funny book by the author of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time.  This book will be a hit as a read-aloud for parents and teachers.  Two boys discover their teachers are aliens and they are abducting people to save their planet.
 

Tell me a Dragon - Jackie Morris (Frances Lincoln, 9781845075347)

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and great language too.

Fox and fine feathers - N. Oliver (Scholastic, 9781862918061)

A modern fable of friendship and caring featuring four Australian forest-floor birds and fox.  Is enhanced through creative text and muted illustration.

Cowshed Christmas - Joy Cowley & Gavin Bishop (Random House, 9781869790738)

At last a really excellent New Zealand Christmas book that I will be proud to recommend to send overseas.

A wordless board book by clever Alison Jay.  Children will enjoy "reading" the pictures and finding the hidden creatures.

Pearl verses the world - Sally Murphy (Walker, 9781921150937)

This short novel in blank verse will melt your heart.  You will cry.

Alice's adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll & R. Ingpen (Walker, 9781921529023)

The next classic to be illustrated by the wonderul Robert Ingpen.  His illustrations captivate and enhance this wonderful story.
