The Women's Bookshop wins Penguin Independent Bookseller of the Year

Congratulations to The Women's Bookshop in Auckland who have won Penguin Independent Bookseller of the Year 2011.

Penguin says, "It is never easy to decide who should receive the award as there are so many booksellers doing a fantastic job out there and in particular with Penguin Books.

"The store we have chosen to win the award is run by one of the hardest working, tirelessly enthusiastic and driven owners in the Industry.  This owner puts 150% into everything she does supporting events, fairs, schools, charities and or whatever comes her way.  She seeks out opportunities to build her business and is relentless in that pursuit.  She not only supports author events she creates them as well. She genuinely loves authors, she understands authors, she breathes authors.  When presented with the award Carole was quick to point out that she is well supported by a wonderful team."
