Festivals are staged at the same time in almost every community in the country, from Northland to the deep south. Together, these regional festivals make up New Zealand's premier national celebration of children's books.
The celebrations surrounding the New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards are for children, students, parents, teachers, librarians, community groups and everyone who loves children's books and reading.
