The Book Trade Industry Awards have been recognising the best New Zealand Publishers, Booksellers and other industry stalwarts for over 20 years.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was created in 2013, with 'Bookman' Graham Beattie being the inaugural winner of this award. A simplification of categories was implemented in 2015 by the Book Trade Liasion Committee, and 2017 saw the addition of a Young Publisher of the Year.

The 2018 Book Trade Industry Awards are now open.

Please find the categories below. The entry form for all categories can be found at the bottom of this page, and the page for each award has also got printable criteria attached.

These awards are administered by Booksellers NZ, and the judges for the awards are selected from within the book industry.
