Marthie Markstein leaving PRH NZ
From Nicola Faisandier, National Sales Manager at Penguin Random House:
“Our sales rep extraordinaire and much-beloved colleague Marthie Markstein has tendered her resignation, effective December 6th. As many of you will know, Marthie has had an impressive career in publishing. After working in the industry in her homeland of South Africa for 16 years, she and her family migrated to New Zealand in 1995 and she has been with us at Penguin Random House NZ, in some shape or form, ever since.
I personally have worked with Marthie for 16 years and, despite her many years in the trade, her relentless enthusiasm, care for her customers and voracious reading and knowledge have never faltered. I know you’ll all agree she has been an absolute joy to work with and will be sorely missed.
You won’t be surprised to hear that Marthie is not planning to settle down to a quiet life of retirement but is planning to head out and join her adventurous daughters in travelling the world, wherever that may take them.
Marthie, we all wish you well in your very deserved retirement and thank you for all that you have achieved for your customers and with us at Penguin Random House.”
