Publishers are invited to submit their titles for consideration in the 2025 – 2026 Booksellers Summer Reading Guide.
The Booksellers Summer Reading Guide is a print + digital, nationwide book marketing that is distributed through bookshops across the country and works in partnership with a strong and dynamic digital campaign beginning on October 13 (after Bookshop Day), running through to the end of January. Our digital marketing runs across multiple online channels including carousels, banners and promotions on the BookHub home page, EDMs, social media spotlights, bookseller reviews and promoted posts on social media.
This year the SRG will be a 16 page, colour A4, print run of c.100,000 copies, an additional 30,000 of an 8 page quarto NZ catalogue (NZG) for The Listener and a 20,000 8 page A5 Kids Reading Guide (KRG).
In store, for the first time this year, alongside their own branded catalogues, booksellers will be able to own-brand their own digital resources for email, web and social media, increasing the reach of the SRG and KRG curation even further to their own audiences.
Submitting a title for considerationin the guide is free. Submissions will be reviewed by booksellers across New Zealand to determine the final selection included in the SRG.
