Marsden Books is the little Karori bookshop connecting readers of all ages with the perfect book. We are an oasis for book lovers of all ages, passionately defending the written page for the future generation and all the joy a good book brings. We are a proudly run local independent bookstore with more than 40 years of history in Karori, Wellington. Our team; Briony, Philippa, Dawn, Jacqui, James, Georgia and Emmett work hard to ensure all our customers get a personalised service. We take special orders, can make recommendations for you and have a particular interest in encouraging young readers of all ages. With an eclectic selection of New Zealand, non-fiction and fiction titles and a huge selection of children’s books, we have the book for you or the perfect gift for someone else. If you need recommendations for gifts, we love to accommodate. As we are a NZ Post agent we can pick the perfect gift, add a personalised card, giftwrap for free and post it anywhere in NZ and around the world. We love to look after our customers who support local businesses and if you need an order delivered to your door within Karori, we can often accommodate.
