Reverie Booksellers

We are a boutique secondhand bookshop located in St Albans, Christchurch, New Zealand that was formerly known as Edgeware Paperback Centre. We have 4 rooms full of all genres of fiction and non-fiction books. Now in its third generation of family ownership, the shop was started in the late 70’s by my grandfather, Thady. My mother, Debs, took over from him, and she owned the store for a further 35 years. I'm Deb's son Ry and with my partner Angela we started running the shop in March 2021 when Debs retired. Since taking over the shop has had a full renovation and rebranding and we're very excited to have our little secondhand bookshop online so we can share our store across the country! Even if we don't have a book you're looking for online, contact us as older books may not be online, and we're also happy to add you to our requests in case a book you're looking for comes in. HOURS: Monday-Friday: 10am-5pm Saturday: 10 am–4 pm Sunday: Closed
