We started Book Hero in October 2024 and it’s been an exciting opening 6 months as we’ve introduced ourselves to thousands of customers from all corners of New Zealand.
We’re based in Hobsonville, Auckland, and our customers can either select online delivery or collect their book in-person from our cosy warehouse. We love meeting our customers and we’ve been warmly welcomed by readers in Auckland’s western suburbs and beyond.
We started Book Hero because we love online shopping and we love books. We wanted to build an online store that we’d enjoy using ourselves – focused on a broad range of interesting titles, speedy nationwide delivery and personalised customer service.
Everyone on our small but growing team brings valuable skills to our unique bookstore. Tim is an eCommerce and Marketing guru with over 700 books in his personal library! Alastair is an incredible systems thinker and operations specialist who also has a taste for fantasy and sci-fi (and a growing selection of cook books). Jordan, a lover of history books, runs our warehouse and is responsible for maintaining our overnight delivery promise that customers love and rely on. Nicola’s whole world is books (with a particular love for Fantasy!), and she’s playing a key role in introducing Book Hero and our growing range of titles to new readers on social media, email and on our website. Dylan loves books for learning new skills, new ways of thinking and being inspired by people who’ve lived interesting lives. He enjoys working with everyone on the team to achieve our vision of creating an amazing online bookstore for New Zealanders!
