Message from Madeleine
Summer is my favourite season for reading. The days stretch a little longer, the pace softens, and there’s a particular kind of magic in finding a shady spot outdoors and slipping into a story – especially one that may have been waiting patiently on your shelf since Christmas. This summer, I’ve curated my reading list with a blend of gifted treasures, and titles that I’ve loved.
As a writer of The Matakana Series thrillers, I naturally read a great deal of crime fiction, and I’m constantly inspired by the incredible talent in the genre. I’ve included several standout titles with a strong local flavour – all available on BookHub – that are well worth adding to your own summer stack.
Happy reading,
Madeleine
