We opened Schrödinger’s Books four years ago on the 31st of August 2019. Since then we’ve hosted events, run book groups and become a part of the Petone community.

We have amazing customers, and I love the atmosphere in the shop on a busy Saturday and chatting with all the people you don’t see in the week because they’re at work.

I adore pairing customers with their perfect book, especially books I’ve just read. Recently I read Elizabeth McKenzie’s Dog of the North — absolutely bonkers!

Our staff at Schrödinger’s Books are amazing, and because we’re so small, we’ve really become a tight-knit group, where everyone gets involved, which makes the shop a pleasure to work in and run.
