Booksellers trade events are opportunities for booksellers, publishers, authors, publishing students, reps and book people to get together, network, talk about books, commingle on literary matters, and meet in real life rather than online.
The Christchurch Trade Event begins at 1pm and finishes at 5pm, followed by a cocktail hour and talks from WORD festival programer Kiran Dass, and three acclaimed authors:
Angela Clifford, author of ‘The Food Farm’ (Bateman Books)
Peter Ryan, author of Riding the Echo Down (Bateman Books)
Vanessa Croft, author of ‘Where In All The World’ (Bateman Books).
Publishers and booksellers are invited to make 20-minute business meetings between 1pm -5pm, or they can take the opportunity to network at leisure, meet publishers and learn all about the excellent upcoming books.
On Friday 8 August there will be a Trade Day excursion to North Canterbury, visiting Nationwide Book Distributors, Paper Plus Kaiapoi and Emma’s at Oxford. Please email renee@booksellers.co.nz if you are interested in joining this excursion.
